Summary
The plane touches down hard at the Research Center, launching a sleeping Luigi through the roof and face-first into the runway. The group reunites outside and heads off to the convention, leaving Mario free to explore the grounds on his way in.
Scene 1 - INT. Mushroom Kingdom Airplane
As Mario settles into his seat, the plane begins to descend onto the runway, eventually landing with a thump and slowing to a stop. The impact jolts Luigi awake. Having missed the fasten seatbelt sign earlier due to being asleep, he flies out of his seat and crashes through the ceiling of the plane, eventually landing face first into the runway.
TOADSWORTH: "Finally landed! Excellent! The cabin felt especially stuffy this time around."
Mario and Co. get out of their seats and exit the aircraft. They all gather outside. Luigi is still face down in the concrete.
PEACH: "Luigi?! How did you get out here so fast?" Luigi pulls himself out of the ground and jumps back upright.
LUIGI: "Ugh… what happened?"
PILOT: "Well, that's one way to decommission a plane. Folks, this is why we fasten our seatbelts!"
PEACH: "Oh, jeez. We're sorry about that, Ms. Pilot. We can get that repair figured out later. For now, let's all just go enjoy the convention!"
Everyone except Mario begins walking offscreen. A few small messages appear concurrently above their heads as they walk away that are uncontrollable by the player.
The player is given control to make their way up to the Research Center. Various employees of the establishment and other attendees are dotted around the environment.
After entering the Research Center, transitions to: 03 - Entering the Convention
